Drug Lab Regulations
WAC 246-205 is the law that details what responsibilities the Yakima Health District has in a drug lab situation. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, posting the structure for non-entry (usually a house, garage, or shed) , assessing for contamination, overseeing decontamination, accepting decontamination, and releasing the structure for re-occupancy. It is possible that the surrounding property may also have contamination that will need to be dealt with.
If you are concerned about a currently active drug lab in your community or on your property, please contact your local police department. If you are concerned that your property may have been used as a drug lab in the past, please contact the Yakima Health District at 249-6508.
