Notice Regarding Yakima Health District’s Oral Health Program:

The Yakima Health District will discontinue education and outreach services related to Oral Health in 2011. State funding for this work was eliminated in the Governor’s supplemental budget and in the 2011-13 biennium budgets.

Our website currently lists providers accepting Medicaid at this time. The District will also post the data of the Yakima County Smile Survey on the website in early spring.

The Yakima Health District wishes to thank all who have worked with us over the years to spread the message out about the importance of good oral health.

“Smile Survey” shows that many children in Washington continue to suffer unnecessarily from tooth decay
